I’m a sucker for 1950’s sci-fi. After running across a random post from The Sudden Curve, I did a quick Google search to see if I could turn up any additional details about the film or find it on the Internet Archive. While the movie appears to be available only through the back-alley distribution houses who deal in cut rate distribution deals for movies probably already in the public domain, I did run across something of interest in my search. Sci-Fi author Octavia Butler was inspired by Devil Girl From Mars to start writing. Better still, according to a biography on Time Warner Bookmark, she’s right here in Seattle. I wonder how hard it would be to get her to do an interview…
