Microsoft RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer

Download Microsoft RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer for Windows XP

Add RAW image support to Windows XP. Now instead of seeing a file icon in the Windows shell, installing Microsoft RAW Image Thumbnailer and Viewer makes digital photos in the uncompressed RAW format available as thumbnails in the shell, just like the JPEG and GIF images. No more guessing what image CRW_1099 is, you can see at a glance. The RAW image viewer provides a browsing interface virtually identical to the familiar Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Photo management tools like Picasa already include support for RAW, but there are times when having shell access to file information is more convenient than opening an app. Currently the app is expected to work with most camera models from Canon and Nikon, although you’ll need to test your own RAW images to verify support for your particular camera model. Like all new releases from Microsoft, this app is part of the Genuine Advantage Program which encourages you to validate your copy of Windows XP (optional with this particular download). If you already installed .NET 1.1 on your system, opt for the much small 6MB download instead of the bundled 47MB version. [Windows XP $0.00]
