Customer Service in the Age of Google

In a July issue of the newsletter, I made it very clear that I didn’t like the book Coding Slave. On the other hand, the author, Bob Reselman ROCKS! I got a refund check in the mail today with a not that reads:

Hi Jake:
Satisfaction guaranteed or your money back!
Thank you for taking the time to read the book.

One might assume I requested a refund. I didn’t. He must have found my review through Google.

I’d gladly trade the refund check for a coffee and some friendly conversation with Bob at a tech event someday in the future.
