4 Audio Books by Douglas Adams

Douglas Adams was an English author, dramatist and musician. He is best known as the author of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series. Hitchhiker’s began on radio, and developed into a “trilogy” of five books as well as a television series, a comic book series, a radio play, a computer game, and a feature film.

The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is the first book in this 5 book trilogy. Seconds before the Earth’s destruction, Arthur Dent is saved by his friend Ford Prefect who is actually a researcher for The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. Now their amazing journey through the galaxy begins.

Life the Universe and Everything is the third book in this trilogy. This time Arthur and the gang are up against an army of robots out to destroy the universe because they can’t stand to look at it. Will Arthur learn to fly? Has Ford really stopped being insane? And can yelling at the waiter really get them there any faster?

So Long and Thanks for All the Fish finds Arthur back on Earth believing that the past 8 years were just a figment of his imagination. Except that Arthur finds a strange and cryptic message in a fish bowl and still has his copy of The Guide. So he sets off to a far away planet to read God’s Final Message of explanation.

Mostly Harmless is the fifth and final chapter in this zany series. Just when Arthur is finally comfortable and enjoying life again, he’s dragged off, quite unwillingly, to save the world. Again.
