Social listening is an important component of any social strategy, but one of the big challenges is finding a solution that makes it easy to listen in real time. Mentions on Twitter are easy to spot, but blogs, videos, and other social outlets can be harder to quickly engage with because most tools don’t do an effective job of filtering out the noise. At HP Discover this year, HP Autonomy teamed up with Fleishman and Critical Mass to demonstrate ExploreCloud using The Pulse as a showcase.

The Pulse goes far beyond the basics of sentiment analysis to show a number of real time data points that are all fully actionable. In the video below, I talk with David Joiner about how The Pulse enables deeper social understanding.
